Do I need previous experience?
No, all abilities welcome. From absolute beginner to published professional.

Do I need to bring something every time?
No, your opinion is valuable and you can get something out of just joining in - honing your critical faculties as a writer.

Do I have to 18 or over?
Yes, it's in a pub in the evening & some content may be of an adult nature! An open-mind is essential. No upper age limit!

I'm nervous of having my work workshopped - will I find it difficult?
No, we believe in constructive criticism. You'll have a cross-section of opinions from people with different abilities and backgrounds.

I don't drink - will that be a problem?
No, The New Inn serves coffee and a range of soft drinks.

Is it mainly men/women?
No, we have a healthy balance of both genders.

Where can I park?
Best bet is Charlotte Street carpark, which is close by. If you're lucky you may get a place on Monmouth Place or in New King Street, but be aware some is residential parking.

Do you give one-to-one advice?
Only as part of group feedback in session. However, we do run one-to-one surgeries outside of this - detailed constructive feedback lasting one hour: David on scripts for TV & Film & Kevan for poetry, fiction & creative non-fiction.
